As much as I love exploring my beautiful Los Angeles, it's a treat to escape the city every now and then. Lucky for me, there are sooooooo many incredible places to visit in Southern California that are within a two-hour drive, including Ojai (pronounced oh-hi), which just happens to be one of my faves.
Los Angeles is one of those cities that you either love or hate. I'm one of those people that not only loves it but thinks it is the best city in the world. It appears I am not alone. A drive through the city's vast labyrinth of neighborhoods reveals giant public displays of affection designed by some of LA's most renowned street artists.
Two of my favorite places—California and Italy—became one this past weekend when Eataly, the Mario Batali-led Italian marketplace, opened in Los Angeles at the Westfield Century City shopping mall.
Try as you might, you'll be hard pressed to find a more soul-nurturing experience than a day soaking up the sun on one Southern California's many beaches.
