I stumbled upon The Market at Santa Monica Place, a delicious collection of organic, artisanal and gourmet food stalls and this gem of a cooking school called The Gourmandise School of Sweets and Savories. Run by Parisian-born pastry chef Clemence Gossett and her business partner Hadley Hughes Booth, the school offers 100% hands-on cooking classes of the sweet and savory variety. I joined in on the Pasta Making class, which was fun and delicious. On the menu - handmade tortellini and fettucine, fresh ricotta cheese, pesto and marinara sauce. The best part…we got to eat it all!
